Job summary
Allegion is seeking a Specification Consultant to deliver hardware specifications and code-compliant solutions for architectural projects across NC, SC, or VA. The role blends remote work with occasional on-site visits to support projects and collaborating with Architectural Services Consultants and Sales teams.
The position emphasizes mechanical/electronic solution knowledge, software-enabled specification writing, and strong communication.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3–10 years industry experience preferred.
- CDT credential preferred.
- Working knowledge of mechanical and electronic solutions.
Responsibilities
- Create technical hardware sets and specs for architectural clients, ensuring code compliance for construction and aftermarket requests.
- Provide solutions to architects on product application requirements.
- Participate in pre/post-install meetings and support revisions and information requests.
- Communicate project changes to the Architectural Services Consultant and Sales Team.
- Understand electro-mechanical products and access control solutions.
- Coordinate door hardware requirements, including access control and electrical needs.
- Support a positive customer experience and meet project commitments.
- Maintain knowledge of market data and adapt to changes in the industry.
- Utilize CRM, specification writing software, and collaboration tools.
