Job summary

NV5 is seeking an Acoustical Consultant to join the architectural acoustics practice with a focus on room acoustics, sound isolation, and vibration control. The role will involve developing reports, drawings, and using modeling software for a variety of national and regional projects.

The position is based in the U.S. with work-from-home flexibility and opportunities to travel for testing and site visits. Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in acoustics and strong client communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in acoustics, physics, or related field with relevant coursework.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced roles and leadership.
• INCE Board Certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to architectural acoustics design and project delivery.
• Collaborate with clients and architectural teams to develop reports and drawings.
• Analyze solutions with computer modeling and on-site testing as needed.
• Ensure projects meet NV5 quality standards and client requirements.
• Assist in business development for acoustics services.
