Job summary

SLR Consulting seeks a mid-level Acoustical Consultant to join our Acoustics team in the United States. You will conduct sound and vibration field work on industrial projects, support architectural acoustics, and contribute to proposals and technical reports.

With 4+ years in acoustical consulting and a 2- or 4-year technical degree, you will collaborate with engineers across disciplines, travel to client sites, and pursue professional certifications such as PE or INCE as you grow with the firm.

Qualifications

• 2- or 4-year technical degree in engineering, physics, math, or chemistry.
• 5–8 years of relevant work experience.
• 4+ years of acoustical consulting experience.
• Experience with Cadna/A and/or SoundPLAN.
• Willingness to travel to client facilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sound and vibration field work for industrial/environmental projects.
• Support architectural acoustics projects.
• Prepare proposals and assist business development.
• Prepare reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Collaborate with clients from various industries and with other engineers.
