Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) engineer to join a remote team. You will help secure web, mobile, and API surfaces by performing ethical hacking and building automated testing processes.

You will integrate tools into CI/CD pipelines, write automation scripts, and leverage AI to improve testing and incident response. Remote role with occasional trainings, 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 1+ year work experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in Application Security, Penetration Testing, or a DevSecOps engineering role.
• Deep understanding of web architecture, APIs (REST/GraphQL), and mobile app security.
• Proficiency with Burp Suite Professional and OWASP ZAP.
• Experience integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab).
• Strong scripting in Python and Bash; Docker/AWS experience.

Responsibilities

• Integrate dynamic analysis tools (OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite) into Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Write and maintain automation scripts in Python, Java, and Bash.
• Use AI to expand testing capabilities and triage bug bounty submissions.
• Deploy, host, and maintain Docker-based security testing environments on AWS.
• Collaborate with engineers to remediate OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
• Triage bug bounty submissions and support incident response efforts.
• Perform ethical hacking and penetration testing on web apps, mobile apps, and APIs.
