AgileEngine is seeking a Middle Application Security Engineer to implement DevSecOps within CI/CD pipelines, integrating SAST, DAST, and SCA gates. You will write Python scripts to automate security gates, tune scanners to reduce false positives, and guide remediation for Java and Python codebases.

The role requires 3–5 years of software engineering and AppSec experience, strong Python and Java skills, and familiarity with CI/CD tools; remote/office-flexible arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of combined software engineering and DevSecOps/AppSec.
• Solid coding proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.
• Ability to read and navigate Java source code.
• Working knowledge of modern CI/CD orchestration tools.
• Experience with vulnerability scoring frameworks.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision on day-to-day tasks.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain scripts to integrate security gates (SAST, DAST, SCA) into CI/CD pipelines.
• Tune and configure security scanning tools to reduce false positives and raise alert confidence.
• Assist in coding and deploying automated hardened baselines and secure coding patterns.
• Provide code-level remediation guidance to Java and Python development teams.
