Job summary

Bernalillo County is seeking an Appraiser Associate within the Assessor department to assist in valuation duties, perform fieldwork, and support data gathering and analysis.

The position requires a high school diploma and four years of office/clerical experience, plus the ability to work indoors and outdoors and travel between properties. Pay ranges from $21.15 to $30.13 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Four years of work experience in an office/clerical setting.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to conduct basic property appraisals and complete basic property appraisals as assigned.
• Assist in the collection of raw sales data and manipulate data using computer sorting and statistical packages.
• Perform field market inquiries and verify sales data.
• Measure and draw basic property dimensions and collect descriptive and analytical information with respect to area of responsibility.
• Assist in responding to public complaints and questions.
• Assist in other areas as assigned which include but are not limited to providing various types of coverage during peak business periods.
