Job summary

Bernalillo County is seeking an Appraiser Associate to assist in valuation of property and support the Assessor's Office. The role involves fieldwork, data collection, and basic research to support accurate appraisals.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and four years in an office/clerical setting, with consideration for related experience. This on-site position offers the opportunity to contribute to community property assessments and related processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Four (4) years of work experience in an office/clerical setting.
• Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to conduct basic property appraisals and complete basic property appraisals as assigned.
• Assist in the collection of raw sales data and manipulate data using computer sorting and statistical packages.
• Perform field market inquiries and verify sales data.
• Measure and draw basic property dimensions and collect descriptive and analytical information with respect to area of responsibility.
• Assist in responding to public complaints and questions.
• Assist in other areas as assigned including coverage during peak business periods.
