Job summary

Sandoval County is seeking an appraisal assistant to support the Assessor’s Office with on-site inspections, data entry, and property record updates. You will help appraisers determine values and respond to inquiries from property owners while coordinating with title companies and county staff.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and basic office or field experience in real estate. An IAAO I certification is required within two years of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with some office or field experience in real estate or related work.
• IAAO I certification (course 101) required within two years of hire or as approved.
• Familiarity with real estate appraisal concepts and property records management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in appraisals, on-site inspections, and data entry for property records.
• Support appraisal staff and respond to taxpayers with referrals as needed.
• Update files, deeds, and related correspondence in property records systems.
• Assist in analyzing values, generating reports, and communicating with the public.
