Job summary

Citizens Bank is seeking an Appraisal Analyst II – Alternative Collateral Products to join the Collateral Risk Management team. You will review non-traditional and alternative valuation products used in residential mortgage lending and render risk-based decisions.

Collaborate with underwriters and vendors, documenting review notes and ensuring policy and investor guideline compliance to support safe lending.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of collateral risk review experience.
• Mortgage underwriting with collateral decision authority.
• Knowledge of alternative collateral products and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderately complex reviews of alternative collateral products.
• Ensure compliance with bank policy and investor guidelines.
• Assess suitability for transaction type and risk.
• Analyze data, property characteristics, and market context.
• Identify missing or conflicting information and request revisions.
• Render decisions within delegated authority.
• Document clear review notes for audits and inquiries.
• Escalate issues to management when needed.
