Job summary

JUUL Labs, a leading hardware and technology innovator, seeks an Applied Scientist to turn massive datasets into actionable mandates for senior leadership. You will work remotely across the United States, building BigQuery models, performing rigorous causal inference tests, and guiding commercial strategy with sophisticated analytics.

The role requires 5+ years of industry modeling experience, strong SQL and Python skills, and the ability to clearly communicate findings to executives and finance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional history in advanced data science, analytics, or causal inference in a commercial setting.
• Strong command of statistics, experimental design, and causal inference; distinguish real signals from artifacts.
• Production-grade data transformations and data warehouse maintenance using SQL and BigQuery.
• Proficiency in Python (pandas) for data manipulation and modeling.
• Ability to communicate findings to senior stakeholders in finance and operations.
• Experience with modern AI tools to create scalable analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Translate business questions into actionable analytical problems using Data Scientist protocols.
• Design, run, and scale causal analyses to evaluate promotions and measure impact.
• Architect and maintain large, complex datasets in SQL/BigQuery with data hygiene and version control.
• Build predictive demand models and monitor market-share trajectories.
• Develop metrics and allocation models to guide field operations.
• Deploy AI agents and Python-based tooling to classify unstructured telemetry.
