Job summary

Inviso is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to join its remote delivery team. You will build and operate AI capabilities across an enterprise platform, including agent runtimes, model routing, RAG, tool calling, guardrails, evaluation, monitoring, and cost management.

This role emphasizes production-quality AI over demos, and requires collaboration with product, engineering, and security teams to ship meaningful AI features for clients. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping software backed by LLMs, ML models, RAG systems, or agentic workflows to real production users.
• Experience designing or implementing agent runtime, orchestration, model routing, or AI workflow patterns.
• Strong understanding of prompt design, context management, and evaluation approaches.
• Experience building evaluation harnesses, regression checks, and safety gates for AI systems.
• Ability to treat cost, latency, reliability, and safety as core engineering constraints.
• Experience building guardrails and controls for AI systems and monitoring production behavior.
• Collaborates effectively with backend, platform, product, and security teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate AI capabilities across an enterprise platform, including runtimes, routing, and tool calls.
• Develop guardrails, evaluation, monitoring, and cost management for production AI.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to decide when AI is the right solution.
• Deliver AI features that are useful, reliable, measurable, and safe for production use.
• Travel as needed to support client needs.
