Job summary

Invoca is hiring a Senior ML Engineer to own the production ML layer, turning trained models into high-throughput services used by product teams. You will focus on CI/CD, reliability, and scalable inference infrastructure to ship AI-powered features quickly.

You will work with Data Scientists, Applied AI Engineers, and product teams to ensure low latency, scalable deployments and measurable business impact across Invoca's agentic AI products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ML Engineering with a production focus.
• Advanced Python and deep learning proficiency (PyTorch, HuggingFace Transformers, spaCy).
• Demonstrated track record deploying transformer-based NLP models in production.
• Hands-on fine-tuning of SLMs/LLMs (LoRA, QLoRA, PEFT) and optimization for throughput.
• Proficiency with inference infrastructure (Triton, Baseten, vLLM, TGI, SageMaker, Vertex AI).
• Experience building production-grade APIs exposing ML models to consumers.
• Familiarity with MLOps tooling and model monitoring (Braintrust, MLflow).
• BS in CS/Engineering/Statistics or equivalent; advanced degree a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for ML artifacts.
• Serve as SME for uptime, latency, throughput, and cost of the ML stack.
• Own model serving as a product with measurable customer outcomes.
• Operate end-to-end inference infrastructure for scalable deployments.
• Profile and tune for low latency and high throughput; build robust APIs.
