Job summary

Fairbanks Morse Defense is hiring an Applied AI Engineer to build secure, production-grade AI solutions in Microsoft Azure. You will implement inside-sales assistants, contract review agents, automated pricing, and onboarding tools while collaborating with executives and subject-matter experts.

You will design AI agents with RAG, create OCR workflows, and deploy solutions in a GCC-High environment. This is a fully remote role requiring U.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and supporting production software, automation, or AI solutions.
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating apps in Microsoft Azure, including Azure OpenAI.
• Experience shipping LLM-based apps with RAG, tool use, and orchestration.
• Strong Python and SQL skills; REST API design with modern auth.
• Experience with CI/CD, containers (Docker), and AI-assisted coding tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI and automation projects from idea to deployed solutions.
• Design and deploy AI agents with RAG, tools, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Build document processing and OCR workflows for manuals, contracts, and data.
• Develop process automation e.g., price checks and PO reviews.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines, observability, and secure data handling.
