Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (WSLCB) Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) seeks an Applications Support Supervisor in Olympia, WA. This role leads developers and sysadmins, driving CI/CD and automation while aligning with division roadmaps and IT portfolios.

You will mentor staff, implement Agile practices, monitor performance, and collaborate with Product and SQA teams to ensure reliable software delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience in System Administration and Development with three years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Master’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field and five years of experience with three years in a lead or supervisory position.
• Professional certifications in AWS DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified DevOps Professional (CDP).
• Working knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS API and Python scripting for web-based mapping applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of application development and system administration personnel.
• Establish short- and long-term plans for development and support services; align with roadmaps and IT portfolios.
• Mentor, train, and motivate staff to achieve high performance.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate software delivery processes.
• Set up monitoring and alerts; optimize performance and reliability.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure standards and practices are followed.
• Develop secure, web-based interfaces and reusable APIs.
