Ladder is seeking an Applications Security Engineer to drive vulnerability management and secure development across our JVM-based stack. You will work closely with engineering teams to embed security into the lifecycle, triage risks, and strengthen our cloud security posture while enabling rapid, secure delivery.

Formación

• 4+ years of software engineering and/or cybersecurity experience, backed by a strong foundation in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field.
• Hands-on working within the JVM environment, reading functional code and collaborating with backend engineers on code-level fixes.
• Hands-on experience securing modern cloud infrastructures and incident response.
• Thrive in dynamic environments and design security frameworks that prevent classes of vulnerabilities from happening in the first place.
• Baseline certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or equivalents; CISSP preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Champion application security vulnerability management with development teams and triage vulnerabilities in a high-scale Clojure ecosystem.
• Monitor and respond to threats in real time using SIEM, SOAR, CSP, CNAPP.
• Conduct comprehensive security reviews and risk assessments on architecture, third-party vendors, and APIs.
• Maintain and optimize workspace security including IAM, device compliance, and productivity tools.
• Mentor engineers on secure coding practices and establish secure defaults that scale with growth.
