Job summary

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking an Application Security Engineer to perform advanced assessments, secure coding reviews, and vulnerability analysis for enterprise applications in a DoD-aligned environment. This role ensures secure development practices across CMS components, APIs, integrations, and CI/CD pipelines.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience, a Bachelor's in a technical field, and active Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• BS in CS, cybersecurity, engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years in application security engineering or secure software development.
• Experience with code reviews, API security testing, or vulnerability management.
• Familiarity with SAST/DAST tools and secure CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct secure code reviews of application logic, APIs, and CMS modules.
• Perform API security assessments on authentication and data handling.
• Support CMS hardening by reviewing templates and configurations.
• Integrate security requirements into CI/CD with SAST/DAST and scanners.
• Manage secrets storage, encryption, and key management.
• Conduct SAST/DAST tests and remediation validation.
• Provide secure coding guidance to developers and arch teams.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps and cloud engineers on secure deployments.
• Perform threat modeling and mitigations for high-risk features.
• Review authentication flows, SSO integrations, and IAM protections.
• Assist with security documentation and test results.
• Support monitoring, log analysis, and security alert triage.
• Participate in sprint cycles to embed security early.
