Job summary

United Airlines is seeking an Engineer - Application Cybersecurity (Remote) to ensure our services and applications comply with secure development standards. You will collaborate with development teams across the product lifecycle to enforce security requirements and guide remediation.

The role requires strong vulnerability analysis skills, experience with security testing, and the ability to work independently from a remote setting. Remote work within the United States is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM is required
• 2+ years of relevant experience or ECDLP
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and CWE 25
• Experience with AI-powered security agents and automated workflows in SDLC
• Basic threat modeling understanding
• Familiarity with DevSecOps and CI/CD
• Experience with application testing (SAST, DAST, MAST, RAST, IAST)
• Programming and scripting knowledge
• Understanding of SDLC
• Understanding of API security and cloud security
• Knowledge of vulnerability management and remediation guidance
• Understanding of authentication and authorization in web apps
• Ability to work independently and communicate well
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Successful interview process
• Punctual attendance

Responsibilities

• Perform code analysis of applications using manual and automated security testing tools
• Improve security through automation and CI/CD pipelines
• Define and communicate security best practices and standards to product teams
• Support security architecture design reviews and threat modelling of products
