Alignerr is seeking an Application Security Analyst to help AI models learn to assess application risk through realistic security scenarios. You'll review vulnerabilities across code, APIs, and system behavior and help guide secure coding practices.

The role is remote, hourly, 10–40 hours/week, with potential for ongoing work. Candidates should have 2+ years in application security and familiarity with OWASP Top 10, plus ability to articulate risk clearly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience in application, product, or software security.
• Familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 and common production vulnerabilities.
• Ability to articulate risk clearly to a technical audience.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze real-world application security scenarios across code, APIs, and system behavior.
• Classify vulnerabilities including authentication flaws, injection risks, and business logic issues.
• Evaluate secure coding practices and assess the quality of remediation strategies.
• Create and validate security-focused reasoning datasets that teach AI how to accurately assess application risk.
• Distinguish genuine exploitability from theoretical risk across a range of scenarios.
