Job summary

Lenze is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to join the team near Charlotte, NC. This remote role combines technical innovation in motion control with hands-on support for customers across the region, including travel up to 25% for on-site deployments and demonstrations.

You will design system architectures, develop application software, configure drives, and collaborate with Sales to deliver differentiated motion solutions while building trusted customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering field.
• Proficient in IEC 61131-3 languages.
• Experience with motion control, PLCs, HMIs and industrial protocols.
• Strong mechatronics background; hardware/software integration.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop motion architecture and system topology.
• Configure and commission drives and PLC/HMI programs.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support.
• Support sales with technically differentiated solutions.
• Deliver product demonstrations and trainings.
