Job summary

Cognitive is seeking an IT Engineer (Apple Ecosystem) to manage our Apple-centric environment, ensuring seamless, secure, and automated user experiences while meeting federal security standards. This role will focus on end‑user support, device management, and policy enforcement across a remote-first workforce.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of Apple enterprise experience, hands-on Jamf expertise, and working knowledge of HIPAA/NIST frameworks.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or related field.
3–5 years in an individual contributor role managing Apple-centric enterprise environments.
Hands-on with Jamf suite: Pro, Cloud, Connect, etc.
Strong knowledge of EDR solutions and macOS security in federal context.
Familiar with HIPAA and NIST frameworks for endpoint management.
Hybrid work arrangement, onsite up to three days per week.

Responsibilities

Manage Cognitive’s Apple fleet and end user help desk requests.
Oversee Backup/DR, DLP, and antivirus for endpoints.
Configure and manage MacBooks using Jamf Pro with zero-touch deployment.
Handle help desk requests via Jira Service Management in line with SLAs.
Design and maintain MDM policies and EDR for remote workforce.
Oversee IT service desk, uphold hardware/software/identity SLAs.
Ensure devices meet NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2 controls.
Coordinate with external vendors for hardware procurement and third‑party Apple support.
