Job summary

Lydecker LLP is seeking an Appeals Specialist to support our appeals process in a remote capacity. This role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who excel at follow-up and can manage tasks independently; we provide comprehensive training, and prior law firm experience is not required.

You will manage appeals from initiation to resolution, perform consistent outbound follow-ups via phone and email, and ensure deadlines are met.

Qualifications

• Exceptional follow-up and organizational skills.
• Strong phone communication skills and comfort with frequent outbound calls.
• Proven ability to work remotely with accountability and minimal supervision.
• Ability to navigate Excel and learn new computer programs efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and track appeals-related tasks from initiation through resolution.
• Conduct consistent and professional follow-up via phone and email with internal teams and external parties.
• Ensure deadlines are met through organized tracking and timely escalation when needed.
• Accurately document communications and updates in firm systems.
• Maintain appeal status reports and logs using Excel and internal computer programs.
• Work independently while remaining responsive and accountable to leadership.
