Job summary
Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an API Solutions Architect to lead design and evolution of large-scale microservices within modern cloud-native stacks. This remote US role requires deep expertise in service decomposition, DDD, data management, and resilience at scale.
The incumbent will drive API contracts, observability, security, and CI/CD for high-frequency releases, mentoring engineers across teams.
Qualifications
- Eight+ years of software engineering experience with architecture focus.
- Deep expertise in microservices design and distributed systems patterns.
- Hands-on with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and service mesh tech.
- Proficient in API design, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous messaging.
Responsibilities
- Define microservices architecture standards and boundaries.
- Modernize legacy monoliths into independently deployable services.
- Design service communication patterns (REST, gRPC, messaging).
- Architect resilient distributed systems with circuit breakers and retries.
- Define data ownership, transactional boundaries, and patterns like outbox/Saga.
- Lead architecture reviews and guide multi-team proposals.
- Evaluate new cloud-native technologies for strategic fit.
