Job summary

Trilogy Innovations, Inc. is seeking an Ansible Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain the automation pipeline underpinning a federal RHEL infrastructure modernization program.

This role owns AAP strategy and implementation, playbook and role development, STIG/SCAP automation, and CI/CD integration from Day 1 through contract closeout.

You will collaborate with security, operations, and engineering teams to deliver compliant, scalable automation across large-scale Linux environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree or equivalent technical experience.
• 10+ years IT experience with 5+ years in Ansible Automation.
• Experience encoding security baselines as automated controls in federal environments.
• RHCE or Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation.
• Experience automating STIG and OpenSCAP enforcement.
• Familiar with CI/CD tooling (GitLab CI or Jenkins).
• Active DoD/DoW Secret clearance or DOE Q/L clearance; able to obtain DOE badge.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Ansible workflows, playbooks, roles, and templates for provisioning and config management of RHEL.
• Develop automated security compliance solutions aligned with STIGs and CIS Benchmarks.
• Integrate automation with enterprise tools (Satellite, Terraform, identity management, monitoring).
• Build scalable automation frameworks for large-scale Linux environments.
• Manage automation content in version-controlled repositories with reviews and change control.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, security, and infra teams to identify opportunities and implement best practices.
• Document runbooks, SOPs, implementation guides, and training materials.
• Mentor team members and support knowledge transfer.
