Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Angular/NodeJS Developer to design, build, and maintain a cloud-based web dashboard for healthcare EDI data. You will integrate RESTful APIs, work with AWS services, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote, U.S.-based environment.

The role requires strong back-end and front-end skills, 8+ years in software development, and a commitment to secure, standards-compliant code. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java and/or NodeJS back-end integration work and Angular front-end UI.
• Understanding of structured healthcare data (EDI/HL7).
• Proven experience building back-end services that serve structured healthcare data to front-end applications.
• Hands-on Angular experience with API integration and component development.
• Strong back-end development in Java/JavaScript/TypeScript/NodeJS focusing on API design and data transformation.
• Experience with Angular or a modern front-end framework.
• Proven ability to build RESTful APIs that transform structured data (XML/JSON).
• Knowledge of Git/GitHub workflows and collaboration in teams.
• Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks (JUnit/Jest).
• Familiarity with AWS services for deployment and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Build and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard that processes healthcare EDI transactions.
• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS for EDI data.
• Integrate with internal APIs, EDI pipelines, and data services for live data delivery.
• Support an Angular-based dashboard front-end and API integration.
• Collaborate with C#/.Net and AWS data engineers on API contracts and data delivery.
• Write clean, tested, documented code and participate in code reviews.
• Perform unit/integration tests across back-end services and API layers.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and performance of back-end services on AWS.
• Apply best practices within an Agile framework; use Git for collaboration.
