Job summary

Rare Candy is hiring a Junior Android Developer to enhance the mobile experience for collectors, including managing collections, connecting with the community, and opening Instapacks.

You will work closely with the CTO and engineering team to ship features in the Android app, using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, with GraphQL integrations and a fast-moving startup pace. This is an opportunity to grow quickly and own meaningful mobile features.

Qualifications

• 3 years of Android development experience in a production app or serious project.
• Strong Kotlin and Jetpack Compose skills for building mobile UI.
• Experience with GraphQL or API integration and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve Android features for Rare Candy's collector app.
• Integrate with GraphQL APIs and collaborate with backend engineers on contracts.
• Fix bugs, improve polish, and raise the Android app quality.
• Work with product, design, and engineering to ship features.
• Communicate clearly when something is blocked or needs review.
