Job summary

Paylocity is seeking an Anaplan Systems Analyst to join our FP&A Finance Systems team. You will design, build, and maintain Anaplan models that support financial planning and reporting processes, reporting to the Senior Anaplan Architect and collaborating with FP&A and Finance stakeholders.

This is a hands-on role; you will own modules end to end from requirements through testing and deployment, combining Anaplan depth with FP&A fluency to serve Finance teams and the business context behind the

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years hands-on Anaplan model building experience.
• Experience with FP&A teams or FP&A background to understand planning, forecasting, and reporting.
• Bachelor degree required.
• Proficiency in Anaplan formula writing (LOOKUP, OFFSET, RANKBY, time-based calculations).
• Strong understanding of Anaplan model architecture: lists, modules, time dimensions, versions, hierarchies.
• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems as data source for Anaplan models.
• Ability to read and extend existing model logic without breaking downstream dependencies.
• Strong communicator with finance and non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with structured testing and validation.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Anaplan models for revenue, expenses, headcount, and ASC 606 amortization.
• Partner with FP&A to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Translate requirements into well-structured Anaplan modules, line items, lists, and formulas.
• Collaborate with the Senior Architect to implement model design best practices.
• Support integrations between Anaplan and source systems like NetSuite.
• Troubleshoot formula errors, performance issues, and unexpected behavior.
• Manage model changes through Dev, QA, and production environments.
• Support UAT with Finance stakeholders and document test rationale.
• Document model logic, change history, and decisions for stakeholders.
• Assist onboarding of new versions, version property management, and configuration.
• Update and audit User Access permissions for end users.
• Perform data auditing and validation with source systems.
