Job summary

Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking a web developer to join the Data Science Platform Engineering team. After initial in-person training, this role could have the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.

Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software for new and existing systems, with strong collaboration across business users and management. The ideal candidate has a BS in Computer Science or related field, experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Understanding of object-oriented and/or functional design paradigms and best practices.
• High aptitude for logical thinking and pattern recognition.
• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies to overcome challenges.
• Ability to adapt to constant change and innovation.
• Understanding of Web technologies based on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript such as Angular.
• Knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, WebAPI, Database Design (SQL), MVC, AWS Cloud Technologies, Automated Testing, SDLC, Agile, or Git is a plus.
