Job summary

Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking a web developer to join our Data Science Platform Engineering team. After initial in-person training, this role could have the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.

The position involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications, while collaborating with business users and management to create robust, maintainable solutions and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Understanding of object oriented and/or functional design paradigms and best practices.
• High aptitude for logical thinking and pattern recognition.
• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and practices to overcome existing challenges.
• Ability to adapt to constant change and innovation.
• Understanding of Web technologies based on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript such as Angular.
• Knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, WebAPI, Database Design (SQL), Core MVC, AWS Cloud Technologies, Automated Testing, Software Development Lifecycle, Agile Methodologies, or Version Control Practices (git) is a plus.
