The role is remote and project-based, with pay set per audio hour and flexible hours. Prior transcription experience and strong attention to detail are essential for success in this Independent Contractor position with CrowdGen.
Qualifications
- Fluent in Amharic spelling conventions
- Fluent in Ethiopian dialect
- Good reading comprehension in English
- Stable internet connection
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to review examples and apply transcription rules
- Prior transcription experience
- Prior experience with audio data
- Access to a PC/laptop or iPad
Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio recordings into text with high accuracy
- Capture speech exactly as spoken, including pauses and fillers
- Add timestamps to match the audio
- Identify and label speakers in conversations
- Mark non-speech events such as laughter or background noise
