Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follows protocols and performs accurate and thorough check-ins of all patients.
• Accurately assesses current patient status and preventive health needs; communicates with provider.
• Provides patient education and documents in patient record.
• Administers medications, IV fluids, immunizations, and performs skilled nursing tasks.
• Anticipates providers' needs and assists as needed.
• Triages patients on-site and by telephone per protocols and standing orders.
• Maintains infection control guidelines and OSHA standards; participates in staff training.
• Performs CLIA-labeled lab tests per policy and procedure.
• Maintains inventory: meds, vaccines, forms, instruments, inventory.
• Acts as patient advocate and responds to messages promptly.
• Documents orders and interventions; uses approved abbreviations.
• Maintains professional standards: deadlines for license and training, participates in Performance Improvement, flexible scheduling, confidentiality.
