Job summary

Great Salt Plains Health Center is seeking a Staff Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care in the clinic setting. The role emphasizes leadership within a multidisciplinary team, adherence to nursing practice standards, and high-quality patient care across diverse populations.

The Staff Nurse will supervise and coordinate nursing activities, manage patient flow, educate patients, and ensure compliance with infection control and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current Oklahoma RN or LPN license.
• Experience in ambulatory care.
• Strong clinical and teaching skills; able to assume leadership in a team.
• Interest in interdisciplinary care and culturally diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Follows protocols and performs accurate patient intake and work-ups.
• Assess current patient status and preventive health needs; communicate with provider.
• Provide skilled nursing care including sterile dressings, immunizations, and IV administration as required.
• Educate patients and document in medical records according to policy.
• Triage patients on-site and by phone, per protocols and standing orders.
• Maintain infection control standards and OSHA guidelines; participate in training.
• Coordinate supplies, medications, and equipment; ensure efficient patient flow and teamwork.
• Act as primary resource in emergencies and advocate for patient needs.
• Roster management and scheduling to optimize nurse/provider ratio; delegate tasks appropriately.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code and confidentiality.
