Job summary

Space Ocean is seeking an ALV-S Technology Lead (Solution Architect) to drive end-to-end systems engineering for satellite-based fluid transport missions. You’ll mentor teams, shape technical strategy, and own design, build, test and launch activities across multiple suppliers and in-house efforts.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, risk management, and technical excellence in a fast-paced startup environment with equity-based compensation through RSUs. Remote work is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering; 6+ years of program/project management experience.
• Significant experience in Solar Powered spacecraft design and build.
• Managed a Space System development and build resulting in a successful launch and orbit entry.
• Proven track record in Satellite Design, Build, and collaboration tools.
• Experience with Requirements Management tools (DOORS, Jama) and modeling tools (Cameo).
• Demonstrable experience with financial management on projects exceeding $50M.
• Strong leadership in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end ALV-S engineering lifecycle across requirements, design, build, test and launch.
• Manage ALV-S program resources and cross-functional planning with the PMO.
• Coordinate performance, cost, and schedule reporting to Engineering Management.
• Oversee design reviews, vendor coordination, and compliance with standards.
• Provide transparent status updates and risk mitigation plans to leadership.
