Job summary

Canonical is seeking an Alliances Engineer to empower partners and customers to adopt open source platforms such as Ubuntu, OpenStack, Kubernetes and AI tooling. You will engage with OEMs, GSIs, ISVs, and cloud partners to design joint go-to-market solutions, while remaining customer-focused and technically proficient.

Qualifications

• Linux (Ubuntu preferred) and Kubernetes experience.
• Cloud design and implementation on public or private clouds.
• Python and Bash troubleshooting skills.
• Fluent English, strong communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
• Degree in CS/Math/Physics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Understand Ubuntu, Linux, networking in real-world environments.
• Architect cloud infrastructure solutions like Kubernetes, Kubeflow, OpenStack, Ceph, Spark on Prem or Cloud.
• Architect and integrate PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Cassandra, NGINX.
• Help partners to offer and architect joint solutions on top of public clouds and data center.
• Design and publish joint Reference Architectures and perform technical validations with partners.
• Prepare onboarding sessions/workshops with partner teams.
