Job summary

UIC Nappairit is seeking a General Laborer for a remote location in Alaska. This role involves physical labor at construction sites, including cleaning and preparing sites, digging trenches, assisting with concrete placement, and loading materials. You may operate hand and power tools and will support other craft workers.

The job follows DBA guidelines with an estimated 60 hours per week. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of general labor experience, can lift up to 100 lbs, and are able to

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of general labor experience.
• Must be able to lift 50–100 lbs occasionally and up to 20 lbs frequently.
• Ability to bend, squat, crawl, kneel and work at heights.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety rules and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards.
• Erect/dismantle scaffolding and temporary structures.
• Load/unload materials and tools to appropriate locations.
• Measure and layout openings for construction work.
• Operate pumps, compressors, or generators as needed.
• Mix or place concrete using portable mixers and wheelbarrows.
• Ensure safety and compliance on the job site.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and within a team.
