Job summary

Aviation Technology Associates (AVTECH Global) is seeking an Aircraft Sustainment / Liaison Engineer to support line and heavy maintenance depot operations for USAF bases. The role emphasizes structural dispositions, repair vs.

replace decisions, and on-site engineering support. Ideal candidates will have a BS in an engineering field and 2+ years in aviation sustainment, with knowledge of FARs/FAA policies and the ability to pass a Tier 1 investigation.

Qualifications

• BS degree in relevant engineering field is required.
• 2+ years in a technical discipline related to aircraft sustainment.

Responsibilities

• Provide structural dispositions and guidance for repairs beyond published limits; may perform structural analysis.
• Interpret service documents and Technical Orders; provide work deviation authorization.
• Advise options for repair vs. replacement to minimize financial impact.
• Support aircraft system troubleshooting and on-site engineering for severely damaged aircraft.
• Coordinate with USAF program offices; monitor trends and develop typical repairs to prevent ETARs.
• Draft policies to ensure FAA regulatory compliance.
