Peraton is seeking a Senior-level Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineer with Battery Systems and S&T focus to provide remote support for the Navy's Power & Energy Division. You will contribute to battery system development, evaluation, and certification, working with industry and academia to advance new capabilities for the fleet.

Minimum qualifications include a BS (or higher) in engineering and 3+ years in aircraft battery systems, with a Secret clearance or ability to obtain one and

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements are a BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or similar degree, and experience working with battery systems.
• At least 3 years' experience in aircraft battery systems to include both developmental and fielded battery systems.
• Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain
• U.S. citizenship is required

Responsabilités

• Serve as a team member in support of battery system development, evaluation, and certification.
• Apply knowledge of modern battery system technology to components, characteristics, and performance.
• Develop and evaluate requirements, design criteria, processes, and analysis methods for aircraft battery systems.
• Lead or support SBIR, STTR, and NISE projects related to developmental battery systems.
• Review and adjudicate lithium battery safety certification requests for Navy customers.
• Assist and/or lead in Battery Test & Evaluation Lab revitalization proposals and lab equipment integration.
• Support CASES program activities and evaluate diesel-to-battery replacements where applicable.
