Job summary

Road Scholar is seeking an Air Booking Coordinator to join the Travel Services team in a remote-first environment. You will handle domestic and international air bookings, resolve customer needs, and ensure high-quality service in a fast-paced contact center setting.

The role requires 1–2 years of air travel experience, strong communication, and knowledge of Amadeus or airline GDS. Work hours align with Eastern/Central time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or comparable experience.
• Excellent communication, decision making, persuasion and closing skills required.
• 1–2 years’ experience with air travel preferred.
• Strong sales and customer service skills with knowledge of airline negotiated fares.

Responsibilities

• Sell travel options including domestic and international air; provide best schedules and pricing on first contact.
• Manage inbound and outbound participant calls and create preliminary itineraries.
• Handle airline schedule changes per carrier guidelines and adapt to world events.
• Assist participants on the Emergency Line to resolve issues as needed.
• Promote additional services and upgrades to participants.
