Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Air Traffic Training SME (Part-Time / On-Call) to design, deliver, and oversee training programs for NAS modernization under the BNATCS contract. This role supports FAA integration, requiring expertise in instructional design, FAA air traffic procedures, and large-scale training program management.

The position allows remote work within the contiguous United States with up to 50% travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or Master’s with 10+ years; or higher.
• Experience in air traffic training, instructional design, and training program execution.
• Willingness to travel 50% to support deployments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and evaluate comprehensive air traffic and technical training programs for NAS modernization.
• Translate FAA procedures, system requirements, and technical information into clear training.
• Create and maintain instructor-led training, virtual learning, simulations, exercises, and job aids.
• Deliver classroom, virtual, and hands-on instruction to operational and technical personnel.
• Coordinate with FAA SMEs, engineers, system integrators, instructors, and program teams to reflect system functionality.
• Maintain training materials, curricula, schedules, qualification records, and other required training documentation.
• Provide SME guidance on FAA air traffic operations, procedures, and NAS environments.
• Identify training risks and readiness gaps; work with leadership to mitigate.
