Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Air Traffic Training SME to design, deliver, and oversee NAS training programs under the BNATCS contract. You will translate FAA procedures into clear instruction and lead large-scale training efforts for both operational and technical personnel.

This part-time, on-call role is remote within the contiguous United States and requires travel up to 50% to deployments. You’ll collaborate with FAA SMEs, engineers, instructors, and program teams to ensure training aligns with

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years, or Master's with 10+ years, or Associate with 14+ years, or HS diploma with 16+ years experience.
• Experience in air traffic training, instructional design, and/or training program execution.
• Strong knowledge of FAA air traffic operations, procedures, and terminology.
• Experience developing training materials, lesson plans, presentations, exercises, simulations, job aids, and assessments.
• Experience delivering instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on training.
• Ability and willingness to travel 50% for program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and evaluate NAS modernization training programs.
• Translate FAA procedures and system requirements into clear training.
• Create instructor-led training, virtual learning, simulations, exercises, and job aids.
• Deliver classroom, virtual, and hands-on instruction to personnel.
• Collaborate with FAA SMEs, engineers, instructors, and program teams to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain training materials, curricula, schedules, and documentation.
• Provide SME on FAA air traffic operations and NAS environments.
• Identify training risks and mitigation strategies.
• Maintain training records and drive program improvements.
