Job summary

Lumbee Holdings, Inc. is seeking an Air C2 Systems Engineer to design, integrate, test, and sustain aviation C2 systems and related TD L architectures. The role focuses on data exchange and interoperability across joint and coalition systems in lab and shipboard environments.

The position requires deep technical knowledge of air C2 systems, simulation tools, and tactical networks, with travel 10-15% in the continental U.S. and 5-10% internationally. Security clearance: Secret.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and troubleshooting LAN/WAN networks across OSI layers 1–4.
• Knowledge of Link-16 and related protocols (JREAP A/B/C, Satellite Link 16).
• Experience supporting test and evaluation for aviation C2 systems and tactical networks.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, modify, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and virtual network infrastructures across OSI Layers 1–4.
• Analyze and evaluate network infrastructure performance during test and engineering events; develop and implement solutions to improve reliability, throughput, and overall network efficiency.
• Assess the effectiveness of test and operational network environments, including integration with air C2 systems, and implement strategies to enhance communications capabilities and infrastructure performance.
• Research, evaluate, and integrate emerging network technologies relevant to USMC tactical environments, ensuring alignment with evolving mission requirements and operational standards.
• Collect, analyze, and report network performance data to support after-action reviews, test event analysis, and engineering recommendations.
• Provide subject matter expertise in the integration of C2 systems within LAN and WAN architectures, ensuring seamless interoperability across networked systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities within network architectures and implementing scalable, resilient solutions.
