Job summary

BCBST BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Inc. is seeking an AI Workflow Engineer to join the Process Improvement team, embedding with Treasury and Internal Audit to imagine and deliver AI-driven automation across critical financial and compliance processes.

You will design and deploy AI-enabled workflows, collaborate with security and governance, and support training, adoption, and ongoing ownership while advancing healthcare workflows in a remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in software engineering, automation, or AI/ML workflows.
• Experience with Python and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with APIs, orchestration tools and integration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Partner with security, compliance, and legal teams to ensure workflows comply with healthcare regulations.
• Document process gaps, opportunities, and functional requirements.
• Integrate AI components with internal systems, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Troubleshoot workflow issues and propose improvements.
