Job summary

Merck in Rahway, NJ is seeking an Executive Director, R&D IT AI Technical Strategy Lead to build and implement an AI strategy across research and development. You will partner with IT and R&D leaders to enable near-term value and guide department-wide initiatives.

You will align business strategy with technology, lead a team, and help scale AI/ML capabilities, including deep learning and generative AI, while simplifying the system footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Life Science.
• MBA or PhD preferred.
• 10 years experience in Enterprise, Business, Information, Systems & Application or Solution Architectures.
• Experience leading department-wide initiatives and change management.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
