Job summary

RWS is seeking AI Conversation Recording Contributors to collect and annotate spontaneous Lingala speech for evaluation and development of AI technologies. This freelance, work-from-home role offers flexible, task-based work with immediate start and hourly pay.

Contributors must be native Lingala speakers with strong English, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to follow detailed instructions. Experience in data annotation is a plus, and a quiet recording space is required.

Qualifications

• Native-level fluency in Lingala.
• Authentic pronunciation and familiarity with everyday Lingala usage.
• Advanced English to understand written instructions.
• Experience with speech recording or data annotation is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail in annotations and recording metadata.
• Ability to follow detailed project and recording instructions.

Responsibilities

• Record or collect natural, spontaneous speech according to project guidelines.
• Capture speech from approved real-life situations, such as workplace conversations or casual discussions.
• Complete individual or two-person conversational speech tasks, or participate in voice or voice-text interactions with AI systems.
• Annotate collected speech data according to instructions.
• Provide required information and metadata related to each recording.
