Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer – AI to work directly with clients, turning complex business challenges into production-ready AI solutions. You'll prototype, deploy, and scale GenAI, RAG, and agentic AI applications while collaborating across business and technical teams.

You will design end-to-end AI systems, apply guardrails and MLOps practices, and ensure seamless data integration with enterprise APIs and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, data science, or software engineering, delivering production AI solutions.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, with hands-on experience building GenAI and agentic AI applications, including LLMs, RAG, and multi-step workflows.
• Hands-on experience building GenAI applications with large language models, including RAG, prompt and context engineering, embeddings and vector databases, and LLM evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Solve Client Challenges by identifying AI use cases and defining success metrics.
• Build and Deploy AI Solutions with end-to-end GenAI, RAG, and agentic AI applications on enterprise platforms.
• Engineer Agentic and GenAI Systems with LLM-powered agents, tool use, orchestration, and evaluation frameworks.
