Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer – AI to work with clients on production AI solutions. You’ll apply GenAI, agentic AI, and data science to design, prototype, and deploy value-driving systems across enterprise data and APIs.

You’ll collaborate with business and technical teams, implement MLOps, and ensure safe, scalable deployments while aiming for measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering production AI solutions in AI/ML or software engineering.
• Strong Python and SQL, building GenAI and agentic AI apps.
• Experience with LLMs, RAG, prompt/context engineering, embeddings.
• Knowledge of cloud AI platforms and API deployments.
• Client-facing ability to translate business needs into technical design.

Responsibilities

• Solve client challenges; define AI use cases and success metrics.
• Build end-to-end GenAI, RAG, agentic AI apps on cloud platforms.
• Design LLM-powered agents with tool use and orchestration.
• Prepare data and integrate AI with enterprise systems and APIs.
• Apply MLOps/LLMOps, monitoring, and responsible AI practices.
• Present insights and drive client adoption of solutions.
