Job summary

Knexus Research Corporation is seeking a remote Skillbridge intern to support DoD AI initiatives. You will translate technical applications into real-world scenarios using your subject matter expertise and a strong curiosity to learn.

You will work on building AI solutions, interpreting data for ML, and collaborating with end-users while aligning with DoD processes and ethical standards. Eastern Time hours are expected; a Northern Virginia office is available for in-person work.

Qualifications

• Degree in technical field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Math, Physics, or related experience.
• Exposure to Artificial Intelligence and/or Machine Learning technologies with the desire to learn more.
• Warfare qualification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build unique and custom AI solutions for DoD agencies.
• Liaison with End-Users: attend client meetings, coordinate with the technical team, and participate in regular project stand-ups.
• Domain Knowledge: understand operational environment, TTPs, and procedures in the domain to develop practical AI solutions.
• Solution Validation: test and validate AI solutions to ensure performance in simulated and real-world mine warfare scenarios.
• Ethical Considerations: guide AI development to comply with laws and ethical guidelines.
