Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to own the security posture of environments where AI-cyber capabilities are built, tested, and delivered. You will collaborate with engineers and researchers to harden infrastructure, supply chains, and pipelines while guiding secure development.

You will bridge traditional security with programmatic defense, maintain tool security postures, and leverage Python to enhance threat detection and continuous risk management across on-prem and cloud

Qualifications

• 15+ years Hands-on experience securing and hardening Linux systems at the OS and network layer.
• Expertise in at least one scripting language (Python preferred).
• Working knowledge of network protocols, cryptographic fundamentals, and key management.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and containerization (Ansible/Terraform, Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience administering or securing a CI/CD system (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Own the security posture of environments where we build, test, and deliver AI-cyber capabilities.
• Embed with software engineers, reverse engineers, and vulnerability researchers to harden infrastructure, supply chains and pipelines.
• Guide secure development and evolution of software vulnerability tooling and threat modeling workflows.
• Support continuous ATO review workflows and pipelines, leveraging Python and API integrations.
• Work with development teams to maintain tool security posture and rapidly scale threat detection and response capabilities.
