Job summary

Alpaca, a US-headquartered leader in brokerage infrastructure, seeks an AI Security Engineer to own AI security controls—identity for AI agents, guardrails, logging, and tool integrations. You’ll work with AI Enablement, Engineering, DevOps, and GRC in a fully distributed security team.

You will define security requirements for internal AI apps, assist in developing AI-powered tooling, and ensure secure adoption of AI capabilities across the company.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of security engineering, application security, or cloud security experience.
• Hands-on experience securing AI/LLM applications and AI developer tools.
• Programming experience in Python or another general-purpose language.
• Experience with CI/CD security checks and cloud-native deployments.

Responsibilities

• Own AI access controls, secure AI platforms, guardrails, AI usage visibility, and AI security tooling.
• Define and enforce security settings for AI tools, data handling, and access policies.
• Lead incident response on AI tools and on-call rotation after onboarding and cross-training.
• Collaborate with teams to embed security into AI design and deployment processes.
