Outlier is seeking a QA Coder to help train AI models by reviewing AI-generated code, scoring model responses, and crafting clear computer science prompts. This is a freelance 1099 contract with flexible, remote work rules and compensation up to $34 per hour plus incentives.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from a selective institution and have software engineering experience contributing to live production code.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science from a selective institution.
• Software engineering experience contributing to a live production codebase, ideally for a tech company.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts fluently in written and spoken English.
• Excellent attention to detail including grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated code: identify errors, inconsistencies, or quality issues using structured guidelines.
• Rate and rank model responses across dimensions like accuracy and instruction following to improve outputs.
• Write clear, well-structured prompts to challenge AI models and advance coding capabilities.
