Job summary

SGA Dental Partners is seeking an AI Platform & Security Engineer to design, build, operate, and secure the company's AI ecosystem across hundreds of practices. You will implement guardrails, identity and secrets management, and automated security controls while enabling rapid AI adoption for internal teams.

The role reports to Enterprise Architecture & Security and involves building scalable hosting infrastructure, code repositories, and policy-driven AI workloads.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in software, platform, and/or security engineering with production ownership.
• Experience in healthcare, dental, or regulated-data environment is preferred.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL/Postgres) is preferred.
• Security certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer the enterprise LLM platform, including identity management, provisioning, licensing, usage monitoring, and controls.
• Build and operate the AI integration layer: MCP server and connector management, service principals, service accounts, API and secrets management, sandbox and production environments, integrations.
• Establish and document standard patterns for agents and secure delivery pipelines with PHI handling.
• Configure model routing across cloud providers with PHI handling requirements integrated from the beginning.
• Automated scanning of code and agents, agent evaluation, PHI guardrails in delivery pipeline.
• Secure development practices for AI and internal software, including secrets scanning and dependency review.
• Data loss prevention tools and access controls for AI traffic and connected systems.
• Provide technical evidence for HIPAA and financial-controls requirements.
• Lead remediation when sensitive data is found outside approved locations.
• Build and harden cloud environments hosting internal apps, dashboards, and AI services.
• Maintain least-privilege access across IAM, secrets, source control, and deployment paths.
• Create self-service infrastructure and onboarding for teams.
• Use AI coding tools as primary development workflow and promote DevSecOps practices.
• Maintain code/library standards for AI workloads across teams.
